Okay, so maybe I am a "Wii" Bit Out of Shape

Or maybe I'm just getting old.

Or maybe both.

Who knows???

I do. Trust me, I do.

Oh, and my arms, butt, back and legs do too!

I'm in pain. Real pain.

What has brought about this Revelation?

Thanks to dear old Santa, against my better judgment, the girls got one of these for Christmas.

I'm one of those mean moms who are anti-video game systems. It was dear ole Santa who brought the DS's too--but that is where I drew the line. No more, no way.

However, Santa had other plans. It was the only thing they both wanted, and you know how that 'ole guy is on making wishes come true.

I've just never been one who really gets into video games.

Well, I guess until now. I'm moving over to the dark side, and I think it may be literally killing me.

The girls begged me to play the Wii with them, and it did look a little interesting, so I gave in and played a game of tennis with both of them and got hooked.

Okay, let me just tell you how dangerous I am with this game.

When I'm playing, something happens to my usually stable mind---I begin to start thinking that I am on a tennis court. Not kidding.

I run around. I swing the remote hard, and I even grunt sometimes when I hit the ball. Heck, I even break a sweat playing. Again, not kidding. I had to put the fan on the other day.

Should I admit that? Oh well, too late.

Mike and the girls laugh at me, and keep reminding me that I really only need to move my hand, but somehow, when that game begins I feel like Maria Sharapova. So far (thankfully), I have not hurt anyone but myself though.

Oh, my poor aching muscles.

I really am out of shape, if playing a video game is becoming my biggest work out.

Can anyone say: Wii-Fit, Please?
