Ariel bought this hat from China (she has a fascination for Asia and all its culture) or the Philippines can't remember as well as some chopsticks for Cecily. Can you believe what she really wanted was a flavored water bottle from China. Just because of it's cool shape. I was a mean mom and said, "No". Hey, in fairness to me, I gave her a budget and she already spent all of her money and we had tried lots of other yummy treats including candy from China and sweets from Germany and empanadas from South America. I could keep going, so don't feel too bad for her. Here are some pictures of Ariel with some of her PACE friends. Ariels friend in the white shirt on the left is holding one of the infamous water bottles. LOL.

Ariel loves PACE, and will miss Mrs. Fox, her teacher, next year. She is awesome!

Have you opened the 'water'?
It looks like a ramune bottle which means its carbonated soda.

Have Michel open it outside and DON'T HOLD DOWN THE CAP WHEN YOU PLUNGE THE BEAD IN. Doing so will have the effect of Michel and anyone near getting sprayed with soda.
How not to open a Ramune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQF0-keHgRo (I watched this on mute.. no idea of the audio).
How fun for Ariel! I would have loved something like that when i was her age...ok, I would love something like that now! Congrats to Cecily! How exciting for her. I've never met any author in person, so I'm sure it was a cool experience for her.
Thanks for sharing your Christmas experience. I love hearing stories of inspiration and how they play out. Tell Mike he has been a good example to me. Thanks!
I loved going to the IFF. How fun! And I was always like Cicily, spending all my money and still wanting more. It's just too cool!
Oh, I miss that field trip!! And, we sure do miss Mrs. Kimbrough/Fox! Marc took the kids to the IF this year but said it wasn't as much fun as the field trip...
