You've Got a Friend in Me!

This post is for my friend, Lisanka. She told me today that I always post about everything else in my life, but NEVER anything that I do with her. So Lisanka--here is my post dedicated to you! Enjoy--LOL (I know you are).

Yesterday was such a FABULOUS day! One of my VERY best friend's, Lisanka, called me around 10am and asked me if I wanted to come over to walk with her and another friend.

I laughed and said, "No, not really, but I probably need too." The thought of exercising has not been very appealing lately. However, I managed to change into some more comfortable clothes and go.

OH, am I so GLAD that I did. I had a great time!

The weather this week in Southern Alabama has been absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It has been a fabulous week to welcome Fall--My ABSOLUTE most FAVORITE time of the year.

The air was much cooler. The sky was bright blue, but you could still hear the birds singing. The trees are all still green (I have to admit some color in the leaves would have been nice). It was a beautiful day.

When we were done walking, we went inside and chatted, printed out some vinyl letters for Halloween (as well as some letters for our primary bulletin board).

Then, Lisanka was so sweet. She asked me to stay for lunch.

I just want to say ONE WORD: YUMMY.

Anyone who knows Lisanka knows that girl can cook, not only can she cook, but she can whip something delicious up in no time flat. When I ask my girls who is the best cook in the world--they don't say, "Mom". They always say, "Mrs. Lisanka". I'm not lying.

Anyway, she made the BEST salad ever. I'm still drooling thinking about it.

Because it was such a beautiful day, we ate lunch outside on her back deck and just talked and laughed, and laughed some more.

We had such a great time, but you can't have a bad time when you are hanging out with Lisanka. She is so much fun.

Lisanka, thanks for a great afternoon. We must really do it again, sometime soon. And you know you always have a friend in me.
