On Friday, at 4pm Cecily went to her dentist (Dr. Steve) to have her 4 teeth pulled, and had an impression taken of her mouth to get her spacer for her bottom teeth. This is all in preparation for her to get braces--which won't happen for a couple more years. She did well. Her mouth was sore that night, and I felt really, really bad because when I made the appointment I thought I was being such a great mom because I thought about having it done on a Friday, so that she could have the weekend to recover. Well, so much for being a great mom, because I scheduled it on the same day as our school's Family Movie Night. Cecily said she did not feel like going--her mouth hurt. So, Mike gladly volunteered to stay with her and I took Ariel. Cecily said she could watch Ratatouille from home.
Cecily will go back in 3 weeks and get her spacer put in. I'm sure this is just the first of many teeth that will need to be pulled (Ariel had 15!).
Cecily was a trooper though. She didn't complain much and best of all she was thrilled to wake up to what the tooth fairy left--$10. Trust me, she didn't waste much time spending it either. What did she buy? 2 Cinderella coloring books and a Junie B. Jones Book--Cheater Pants.
