WOW! It doesn't seem possible that yesterday, on May 13th, 2008 , Mike and I celebrated our fourteenth anniversary. It is funny to think of all the things that have happened over those years. It's probably cheesy, but Mike and I like to reminisce about the "good ole days" of dating and early marriage (well, probably more me, and Mike just goes along with it. Boy has he learned a lot over the years). We laugh about the funny times and the things that drove each other crazy like me getting water all over the kitchen floor and leaving it (hey, it will eventually evaporate, right?? or Mike leaving the toilet seat up and me falling in the toilet in the middle of the night. Talk about a rude awakening! Mike says: hey it will dry, right??) Ohh the memories!
It seems like just yesterday, although not really. I have to say it has been the best 14 years of my life. Most of it has been good, but I'd be lying if I didn't say there wasn't some bad. I always think that the greatest thing about being married is learning to love someone else more than yourself, and for me that wasn't always easy. Over those years, I have grown up A LOT (I had just barely turned 20 when I got married). I have learned to love and to be loved, became a little less selfish, learned that someone who can drive me absolutely CRAZY can also bring the GREATEST joy to my life. If I had it to do all over again, would I??? UMMMMMMM......Let me think...............YOU BETCHA! Love ya Mike. Here's to the first 14 years and to a million more!
