The first month we were there, the girls and I removed a box full of them, but it seemed never ending, so we quit with the thought of returning to it another day. Well that day never came until last Tuesday. Last Tuesday, the girls were outside swimming and I was going to get in with them, but I kept looking at those rocks and decided it was time for them to go. They had been messing up the beauty of our yard long enough. I wish I had taken a picture before I started so you could have seen what a mess it was. Boy was it a lot of work.
Here are the rocks I removed on Tuesday evening. Don't forget we also removed a medium size moving box of rocks when we first moved in. I was dumb because I put the box out for the garbage truck to pick up and when they lifted it with the machine they have the box fell apart and I was left with rocks to pick up again! DUH?? OH the rocks I removed are just those on the sidewalk, the rocks behind it are part of a rock bed that we are keeping.

Your backyard is beautiful. I can just imagine you hauling all those rocks! I always forget how green Mobile is. I miss it! How do you like having a pool?
Hey Andrea....thanks for the comments on my blog! Just let me know if I can ever try to win you any tickets...I love the challenge!LOL I told Mike today at work that I love your back yard..it looks great! Must have taken forever to get all those rocks out..did Mike help? He's really good at fixing computers but does he landscape too? He is certainly a Jack of all trades...lol I also told him that you write so well and are soooo funny..you should really write a book. I can sooo relate to everything you write because my girls are 3 years 9 months apart and I think yours are about the same? Anyway...thanks for the comments! :)
Chrissy-Mike is very good at keeping the yard up, although he was very content with leaving the rocks in the yard! This venture was all mine. Yes, our girls are exactly 3 yrs. and 2 weeks apart. Your girls look like they get along well. Mine do at times, but most of the time are bickering--I hope they will grow out of it. Thanks for the sweet comments. I love reading your blog too, do you mind if I put a link to it on my blog?
Brooke--The girls and I love having the pool. However, if you ask Mike though, he would rather us join the swim club again and fill it in. But like he says: It's all about keeping the women happy. Smart man!
Your yard is beautiful, Andrea! I am thinking the grass may just grow over that spot now that the rocks are gone...
Susan, that's what Mike keeps telling me too!
