Stamping Out Hunger

One thing I love about living in a neighborhood is having a better sense of community. Yesterday, Saturday, May 10th was Stamp Out Hunger. The mail man leaves a plastic bag for you to fill with food and then the carriers pick it up. We saw many of neighbors participate too. It was a nice feeling like we were joining together with the mail carriers to "Stamp Out Hunger". It may sound cheesy, but I really did feel good about it. We did it a few times when we lived at the apartment, but to be honest, I always wondered if the food was still there when the carrier got there. We had fun picking out food from our pantry. Here's what we saw up and down our neighborhood streets.

You know, I hung my bag of cans on the side of the mailbox but I guess the mailman didn't see it. I would have put it on the gound, like you did, but we have that huge jasmine bush and there is no room. We have done it in the past but I still felt really bad! Oh well, maybe next time!
